For the Zanzibar Circus collection, Sukun worked closely with Sofia to create a magical circus inspired by travels to Zanzibar, Tanzania. Sofia drew inspiration from the adventures of King Babar of Jean de Brunhoff and the story books from her childhood. The entire artwork is meticulously hand illustrated and painted in watercolour with exceptional attention to detail.

The animal kingdom is a magical space designed to inspire the imaginations of children as well as function as an activity mat allowing for children to stay engaged in pointing out colours, animals and activities.

The animal kingdom is full of wonderfully magical details - the hippo dancer who is juggling in the air, the scarlet macaw, a tight rope walker who is taking steps of faith but at the same time knows that if she fails, she flies! To the mighty bullet mouse, the trapeze bunny who has been visited by her cousins and grandparents. The mouse musician quartet, three talented brothers playing various instruments. The very strong and mighty Bengal tiger, the elephant who has given a unique show today with a special shoutout ot her children in the audience. Two indomitable steeds that have exotic feathers from the Far East in their manes. Are there more animals in the story? can you find them and imagine their stories?
